Calappidae
Harlequin Shrimp
My emerald must be one of the very rare cases of being a coral eater..

Crabs are indeed oppertunistic, this means they're take the easiest target if it's hungry and avialible. While this is expected for fish and shrimp.. an emerald crab I have yet to hear or see attacking a coral.
This coral hasen't been doing well itself either.. the atinics on that side of the tank did burn out quite awhile ago and I just ordered replacements a few nights ago.
However, if you're missing some LPS these could be the culprit.
Now don't take this as a discouragement from adding them to your reef tank.. it's a rare possibly with underfed animals. I believe in my case a sick coral might have been appealing to him as overfeeding is kinda my thing
.
Next time I see any predatory action I'll remove him.
