i have 2 emerald crab which i just bought 3 days ago, now both are hiding in 2 different SPS colonies.. kinda worried they may munch on them.. any thoughts?
Havent seen any of my emeralds over the years do too much damage they mainly like algae and maybe valonia... on the other hand watch out for the black crabs with blue eyes that come in acro they need to get killed
I had emeralds, had to pull them out because they were eating my montipora.
You could try the baited shotglass of the crabs aren't to big. Metal shish kabobs can work. If the corals are a healthy size you can add a few Trapezia or Tetralia sp. (acro crabs), they should kick the emeralds out and protect your colonies.

Trapezia spp. are not acro crabs. They are much larger, aggressive, and host in bird's nest/pocillipora. Tetralia spp. are what you're looking for; much smaller and more peaceful.
