EMERGENCY- choking clownfish- HELP

one of my clowns swallowed a little lump of food and it got stuck in his mouth, he sort of half swallowed it but seems not to me able to get water in... he started lying at the bottom looking near dead. I got him out, and used some really fine tweesers to try to break up the food, but it's deep and I don't want to puncture anything. We have him in the net and we're moving him around the tank to try to get water flowing through his gills, but he's not doing so hot... what should I do? I've had him ages, he's my favorite :( :( :(

I wouldnt move him about in the net, Im put him in the tank at let him be. He maybe find by tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure being in the current is the only thing keeping him alive... When we let him out he floats to the bottom and stops moving. In the net he's moving his front fins. I don't want to just leave him in the bottom hoping for the best :(

waving him about in the net is very stressfull he will have better chance of surviving if you leave him IMO

Sorry to hear that, I had the same problem aswell not choking but was on the bottom breathing heavily i was running him about in the current and when i left him out for a couple of hours he was fine. Then 2 weeks later he died unexpectedly.
