Emergency Reef Tank Prep for storms

So I figured with these storms all coming, might be semi useful for people to post up ideas to protect their tanks from power outages, etc etc...

I have 4 bubblers I got on amazon along with a ton of D batteries for them. Also have a generator that I can use to run my pump equipment sparingly when I'm not running the fridge and whatnot.

a generator is the best but if you have to evacuate it's not going to do you much good. I know a lot of people that had to leave their tanks during sandy and hope for the best, a lot of those people came back to complete death.

I have a few air bubbler's and I hooked a car battery to my vortech pumps to keep things moving. During the winter I've heated some bottles of water on the stove (Gas) and dropped them in. you can also use a pitcher or cup and fill it with tank water then dump it into the tank from a few feet above for aeration.

Being in St Augustine FL I have similar issues. Last year I had nothing during Matthew. I manually oxygenated the water every few hours. Pain in the ***. This year I have a generator.

The plan: Run the return pump and two wave makers as much as possible. The lights aren't as important. If the Alk & Cal doses are missed for two days due to a power loss Ill manually dose at that point. Ill feed minimally and Ill pray a lot.
