Emperor Angel with a few softies? will this work?

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the cross post. My tank is neither here nor there in terms of type of setup. So trying all avenues for as much feedback as possible.

I have a 500g FOWLR, with some GSP, mushrooms and a few leathers, not enough to call this a reef of any sort, still a FOWLR in my mind. So far none of my fish (damsels, clowns, tangs and some dwarfs) touch them except for the Bicolor angel that nips the GSP mat when its retracted.

Read a lot about Emperors potentially nipping fleshy LPS and Zoas (saw this in that spreadsheet that was collated a while ago too), but whats your take on keeping them with GSP, Shrooms and Leathers?

an emperor angel may be the least reef safe of all angels. they will pick and eat just about anything once acclimated. why not try a YB regal angel or a dwarf angel that is less likely to pick...

It won't eat GSP, leather , mushrooms or gorgonians if well feed

But it will eat zoa and acans for sure

^^ ya the emperors may not actually eat the GSP, Leathers and Mushrooms but he may harass or kill them depending on how large the emperor is. if its 8+ inches he will just rip whatever he wants off the rocks.

your best bet would be to try one of those tiny juvenile emperors.

I have few emperor never eats softies or SPS and trust me when I said a few
Anyway My friend had his emperor on SPS dominant tank without issues for 6 years
