emperor angel

i have a juvenile emperor angelfish just wondering if there are any corals that i can put in my 125 gallon with him that will be safe from him eating them

I've had luck with favia, sps, and some chalice. It is always a risk with angels, ultimately they decide how your tank will look.

Mine never touched anything but is well feed. You do take a chance but they tend to leave SPSs and softies alone. They are more inclined to nibble on LPSs and clams.

What about anemones? Would an RBTA be safe from an emperor, or other large angels? Also, as far as LPS goes, are euphilias and chalices generally the "more safe" choices or they just as at risk as an open brain or zoanthids?

Mine has made my sps polyps stop coming out during the day. It left my zoas alone since I got him but a few days ago he picked at a couple of my devils amor, it left the nukes and kedds red alone though. Very hit and miss I'd say. Hasn't touched my clam at all or softies. Frogspawn is fully open, but my war coral doesn't extend it's feeders out to feed anymore.

Nothing is safe. They can be model citizens for a while and then change in a day wreaking havoc on corals.

Mine didnt touch anything but some zoos. I now have a French angel that I have been having great luck with only a nip on the gargs from time to time. I keep them VERY well fed and trained them to eat from a custom made cylander feeder made of course screen. They all wait for refils in that.

are dwarf angels less inclined to nip at corals then regular angels? my flame angel never touched a coral or clam or anything.. was always told its hit or miss.. but does that same idea go with the larger angels?

Dwarfs I would say are more of a success then large angels I'd say IMO. They still have rogue angels in dwarfs though.

all angels are risky. the Centropyge (dwarfs) will have some that nip and some that dont. teh bi-color is NOT a safe fish.

the swallow tail angels are much more reef safe than any others.
