Emperor Angel

I am looking at purchasing an Emperor Angel, however the only ones available are not Diver's Den specimen. I know you have stringent quarantine process for the Diver's Den, and the health and beauty of those specimen are exceptional because of it. My question is, are the Emperor's that are not Diver's Den quarantined in the same manner. Are they treated for disease at all? Also, are there any Emperors slated to be put on the Diver's Den soon? I am looking more for a Sri Lanka/Maldives specimen.

All our live items are vigilantly monitored, inspected by our expert staff, and quarantined as long as necessary before shipping to our customers. If, for any reason we feel that a specimen is not up to our high standards it will not ship. If we detect/or see any signs/symptoms of a possible problem we begin treatment immediately. We want to assure our customers that we provide only the healthiest specimens.
We do not expect to have Imperator Angelfish posted on our Diver’s Den in the near future. We may have more information regarding these fish mid November if you would like to check with us then.

Well, I purchased a Sri Lanka/Maldives Emperor and it arrived on Saturday. The packing was amazing, and the specimen is beautiful. I drip acclimated for roughly two hours. I added a small dose of Prazi-Pro, and put him in the tank with lights out for 6 hours. However, I am starting to become concerned. He still has not eaten anything and is obsessed with getting cleaned by the cleaner shrimp. He is not being harrassed and seems somewhat active, but I am afraid I may be dealing with stomach/intestine parasites....Should I be concerned yet?

The Imperator Angelfish can be a picky eater. Shipping is also stressful and may contribute to the difficulty in getting the fish to feed right away. We would recommend offering a variety of foods as well as soaking some food in Garlic Extreme to encourage the Angelfish to eat. Please keep us updated on the well being of your new fish.
