emperor angelfish (juvenile)

hi guys, i bought a juvenile emperor angelfish last month. i placed him in my empty layer sump tank to train him to feed on pellets. it was a success! he eats pellets like crazy more than 60 pellets before he gets full.

now my question, i am planning to place him in my display tank because i know he's ready. will my fish and invertebrates will be in any danger? no idea about the emperor's habits and compatibility on other fish and what kind of inverts he eats.
here's the list: 2 percula clown, 3 chromis, 1 brown tang, 1 sailfin tang, 1 yellow tang, 1 purple firefish goby, 1 fire shrimp, 2 harlequin shrimp, 1 pin cushion urchin, 1 lettuce sea slug, 4 turbo snail, 7 nassarius snail, 1 reef lizard (small).

*no need to ask for tank size, water parameters, etc. because its all good.

* -- actually there is a need to ask about your tank size, since that plays into how the fish will get along. The fact that you made that comment shows me that you know your tank is way too small (( from reading your other posts, it appears to be a 55 )).

Also, if you don't know about the emperor's habits and compatibility with other fish, why was it purchased?

All valid questions and a 55 gallon is WAAAAAY too small. Glossing over details such as tank size is not going to help.

i bought the angel because its the last piece of my tank. so you mean the angel will beat bully the other fish? and eat the inverts?

Well having reviewed the original posters history, I have three pieces of advice:

1. Slow down
2. Ask questions BEFORE you buy
3. Stop buying stuff

and by the way goniopora do not do well, and elephant ear corals eat fish.

why didnt you ask these questions or research the fish before you bought it? Its a little late now, if hes eating, put him in your tank

It is sad to see irresponsible fish keeping. I know a person who just buys buys buys before researching and has failed tank after failed tank, not to mention money down the drain.

Well your other fish in that aquarium are already incompatible with each other so it is immaterial if you add another fish that is not compatible with that environment. Those fish are going to have problems. Many of them. So very, very sad.

Right. You should have NO tangs in a 55 gallon tank let alone three of them. You should have NO large angels in a 55 gallon tank. Your three chromis will become one chromis. And with 10 fish you are tremendously overstocked.

When you find new homes for the tangs and the angel, come back and see us. Until then, we have no desire to help you promote this abysmal husbandry.
