Emperor Shrimp

Well before I ask my question I would like to talk about my recent experience with Liveaquaria, just about a week ago I had orded a Touzma Ghost Pipe shrimp, Porcelin Crab and some snails and I have to complement the guys/ girls at Liveaquaria for a job well done, all of the things that I orded came in good condition there was a sort of mess up at Fedex and my package didn't come until like 5 but that was not any of your guy's fault and all the livestock was still fine. I will order from you again in the future.

Now to my question, I was wondering if you guys ever had Emperor Shrimp (Periclimenes imperator) in stock, they appear to be pretty hard to come by but I have been looking for one for a while now and cannot seem to find anywhere online that has them or has had them for a while now. Also if you do ever have them in stock do you know much the cost for one would be?

Thank you for the assistance

Rudypoop,

Thank you for your compliments and for sharing your ordering experience from LiveAquaria with us.

In the past we have offered the Emperor Shrimp (Periclimenes imperator) for sale on Diver’s Den. We do not have a set price for these unique specimens, as price is dependent on the collection area, travel distance, and size.

You may wish to sign up for the Diver's Den e-mail alert. This will allow you to receive instant notification on a daily basis here:

We hope the Emperor Shrimp (Periclimenes imperator) will become a beautiful addition to your aquarium!

Keep in mind that emperor shrimp in the wild are opportunistic hitchhikers; that is the ride on another animal such as certain nudibranchs, some sea cucumbers, etc. As such it will be difficult, although not impossible, to replicate their natural environment.

Well I have had them before and instead of their natural host they will ride on some snails like Turbos and my old one even would take rides on my hermit crabs.
