Emporor Angel In Reef??? **PICS**

Tomorrow I may have the opportunity to pick up a juvi emporor that is in the midst of changing over. As a former FO aquariust I always admired the emporor from a distance. I can pick this guy up for about 40 bucks and man is he awesome looking.

What do you think this guy will do to my tank?
Good news is that I have a buyer for it to get my $$$ back if he picks at my corals. Bad news is I will be on vacation for 4 days while he is in my display tank. How much will he choke down in 4 days? Can these guys clear a tank in that amount of time? I will have about 3 days to watch him before I leave.

I would do it, although not in a 110. He will out grow that tank quickly.

If you are determined to keep him in there he most likely won't eat everything, so you just have to decide whether the fish or the corals are more important. You can still keep a reef, its just perhaps not everything you want...you what I'm saying??

That is exactly what I was looking for with feed back. 110 too small even for him eh? Didnt know a juvi needed that much room.

I'm going to steer clear for now. Theres no way I can upgrade a tank for a fish right now.

I have a imperator, and I also have tons of zoos. Everything from PPE's to the lfs quality zoos. My imperator chose to pick on my RPE's. It's weird. If the polyps are closed he'll pick at them, but if they're open he'll leave them alone. I'm not too worried yet, but if he even thinks about toucing my PPE's he'll be a goner! LOL. Why can't he pick at my football sized colony of average zoos? He can eat all of those that he wants!
