encouraging chalice growth

So I don't know if this is something that others want to try to replicate, but I have a chalice coral that about a month ago I broke a bit... I snapped the skeleton when I was cleaning the tank... but the flesh didn't break or tear or anything. Almost immediately, an eye grew where the skeleton had cracked.

Does chalice injury encourage more eye growth?

I dont know for sure, but many other types of corals can be spurred on in this fashion, pedal laceration from nems an zoas, or polyp balls from stressed out softies. Some can even bail out their polyps when severely stressed, to attach elsewhere and grow. So i dont think its unlikely.
