Encourging the Clowns to breed

I bought 2 true percs about a year ago in for my relatively calm 29 Gallon. It has 9" sebae anemone(healthy, had for almost 2 years now) and half filled with pulsing xenia. a Fuge filled with chaeto and a Skimmer(currently off).

According to the size of my clowns it looks like they either stopped growing or will need another 6 months to mature and get their sex.

but i was wondering what will encourage them to be a breeding pair. They seem to be friends if not a pair if sexed already.

They are totally comfortable in their anemone, but what i dont understand is they RECENTLY stopped leaving their anemone for food, and they wait for it to literally drop infront of their faces.

But ya, basically my main question what will induce the breeding side to them. (this is besides good water conditions, peaceful fish mates, regular schedule and comfortable living)

My lighting is a 150W HQI (if that mattered for you guys)

Thanks,
Josh

hay iam matt you can bost your temp up to 80-84 & give them 14-16 hrs of light & flood your tank with baby brine shrimp for a week or 2, water will fowl up so good water changes are nessasare, but your coral ant gooing to like it.me i do all that and thay are in sapret tanks all plumed in togeather and to a big system.but some times thay just do it in norm tank with other fish and all the wrong stuf it also de pends what type of clowns thay are hope that helps soom be pashant sorry i cant speal MATT

Is that a "how to get fish to breed" or "how to crash your tank in 3 easy steps"?

Your fish are still quite young likely so I wouldn't try and rush them. The fact that they are staying very close to home is a good indication. You can boost feeding and brine shrimp are ok to do this. Cyclopleeze works as well I'm told. Do not "flood" your tank with food of any kind. Smaller helpings a few times a day may help. Increasing temp can help as well. Don't do everything at once or you'll upset the balance in your system and do more harm than good.

hmmm... i can definately do the temperature.. but flooding will not be good for the sebae. Thanks guys.

ill probably give them another 6 months and then ill raise the temperature slowly in between... sadly i think i can only move it up 2 degrees.

And does lighting actually help? like in terms of the qualit of the light? supposedly it helps them have better color.
