encrusted base breakoff

I had a purple ORA acro wedged in between two rocks for the last month or so and the coral encrusted onto both rocks.

However, I accidently bumped into the rock and it broke one of the encrusted base so that I now have the acro frag encrusted onto one rock and then the rock with just a small piece of encrustation.

What do ya'll think the chances are that this small 1/2" piece will grow into a small colony?

As long as it has a couple of polyps I think the chance is very good.
