Encrusting gorgonian

I got this as one of my first corals. My gf picked it out because she liked how it swayed in the current. It was about an inch and half in diameter

. That was in september. I know alot of ppl dont like them because they spread so aggressively but i isolated it to a large piece of lr and i trim it ocassionaly to keep it in check. Its become one of our favorite corals in the tank among some beautiful acros and zoas. Its now about 5" "wide" and almost a foot "long" !!!! and doing great!

my gf just took a bunch of pics with her new camera for me so i wanted to share this big guy with everyone who enjoys soft corals. And wanted to celebrate no more crappy cell phone pics!!!!!!!

Yea, the first picture is from the day i put it in my tank , plus it was taken with a cell phone so its a pretty crappy picture. When i bought it, it was very browned out and small. The second pic is after it being in my tank for about 6-7 months and was taken with a high quality digital camera (no clue what model just know its a cannon with special lense for shootin up close, its my gf camera).

Is the gorg that red?

Its a pretty deep pink color, im a little colorblind i have trouble seeing reds from pinks and blues from blacks so i guess it could be called red? It looks like the second picture in my tank. That pic was taken under two actinics, one pink bulb and one 15k blue plus bulb so it makes it a little brighter than if it were under all daylights i guess but the color in the photo is pretty accurate. It grows like crazy i always have to trim it id be glad to send you a piece for free if you want to pay shipping next time i have to trim it

I've had it. I've never seen it so pink. IMO it is a play on light. Either pink bulbs or photoshopped. Just saying.
