Ended up getting a bubble tip anemone...

I purchased an BTA that looks just like yours, except about three times as big. It also expands more at night than during the day time. It's healing nicely. It takes most of the food I give it too. Is a small scallop (roughly the size of three peas) too much every other day?

i feed mine half a krill every three days or so...hes is about 3" when open..sometimes he will get half a silverside, with the flow in my tank there is no way mysis would stay near him...every now and then a couple get blown into him though...mine always closes up at night and opens fully during the day...i see him creep out from under his ledge when the actinics come on...and fully out when the MH come on...he has it timed now that is fully opened as the ballast fires up...

It may be bleached, I honestly don't know, but I'm going with what you say. I actually moved the anemone much further down in the tank earlier today, and it already seems a lot more "full" colored. It was more transparent, but now the base of many of its tentacles are becoming much less see through, and are becoming greenish/yellow. It already looks quite a bit more colorful, but I don't know how, since it's only been getting less light for only one day, or actually a bit more, since it was hiding in the back of the tank with not too much light.

It IS bleached and you do know that it is, no point in denying it. It will most likely stay hidden for quite a while, if it's able to survive.

this thread can be closed if a mod wants to do that. I traded in the anemone for a much bigger and healthier one.

Thanks guys!
