i'm planning on getting the 2' Hamilton hood with 175w MH and 2-75w VHO. I want to keep a bunch of SPS along with clams. Is it enough light?

Sounds fine to me. If you can fit it in your budget, going with 250w would be even better. Some ppl will even throw 400watters on their 29g. That's insane to me. :eek1:

Go to www.diyreef.com and get the new coralvue 250 mh retro kit. Its what I got. If you get the bulb 12k and up, you wont need supplementation IMO. His site is beeing updates so it might still be down. His nich here is saltcrep.
