enough lighting for a 10 gallon zoanthid tank?

I've got a small light fixture lying around that powers two 13 watt PC bulbs. (50/50) I was just wondering if these would be enough light for some zoanthids. The bottom of my 20 gallon tank is filling up fast with frags and I basically just need a place to put them. Do you think they would grow with this type of lighting, or would it be just enough to keep them in kind of a lull? Not growing, but not receding either. I can put some of the more light demanding zoas on top of the rocks if need be. Maybe 4 or 5 inches from the bulbs. Any thoughts, experiences, etc would be great. Thanks. :)

Why not just build an eggcrate shelf so they all fit a few inches below the bulbs and keep the rock underneath?

I guess I could do that. I was hoping to keep this tank as natural looking as I can though. I tried making a small frag rack for my 20 gallon tank one time but it was more of an eyesore than anything else. Thanks though. :)

No problem. Check Mucho's TOTM thread because he ran PCs on it. Archie did too I believe.

Off to read them again!

It might work. Since it's only 26 watt total perhaps you should run it a bit longer than normal.

I think you'll be fine though. Zoa are not that crazy light dependent like SPS or Anemone...etc

Thank you everybody for the feedback. I think I'm going to give it a try. If the lights don't work, at least I'll have a cool little invertebrate tank. (snails, shrimp, feather dusters, etc) It will be a slow process putting it together, but I'll try to post a few pictures every now & then if anybody is interested. Thanks again... :)

My last tank I ran 2 13w pcs over a 6 gallon. Zoas on the sandbed stretched for light. I moved them up higher but never saw any growth until I replaced the light with a PAR38.

Hmm...

Thank you for posting. I'm pretty sure I'll set this tank up, but feedback like this is exactly the stuff I need to here before I pull the trigger. Thanks again...
