Enough talk about algae scrubbers?

So theres a ton of info on algae scrubbers and im pretty happy with mine. I have the original vertical waterfall type, however i havent found an efficient way in cleaning it. Its sort of a pain to do this every 7-10 days, but its more of a pain when the gha doesnt come off very well. Its thick and green which is a healthy sign, but im using a knife and toothbrush to get down to the plastic mesh. Doesnt take a terrible amount of time, but curious to see what others are using and easiest.

Size of my screen is 14x20

I never scrape all mine off or put much effort into it. I wouldn't want to.

I use a metal BBQ spatula to clean the screen. Takes about a minute per side.
