does a cuttle fish require the same enviroment as an octopus?
where can I get one, I live in wisconsin so this could be hard.
also if anyone has some pics of various cuttles i would like to see them. I might consider one of them instead of a octo we'll see
The commonly available aquacultured cuttlefish (S. officinalis, I think) requires a large tank at adulthood (100-180 gallons), very good water quality. It really needs a chiller on the tank as well to keep temps at lower '70s (which will also result in up to 6 months longer life span)
Well they usually prefer large rocks to retreat when treaten but also need a vast swiiming area cause they like to swim when they are bored....You should also add some plants in your cuttle tank so that it can atleat cling on to them....It would be interesting...just watch and see.
