Well for a specific post. . . I am thinking of finding SOMETHING else to do with my majano. Not a happy anemone in the tank I've got it in. On another forum I posted that I wanted to change the tank a bit, and they suggested 2 sexy shrimp. I prodded a bit more, since I know they like to be near anemones, and was told a rock flower would be great for that tank. So, I figured, where better to ask about anemone care than here?
The tank was set up specifically for the anemone. It is a critter tote(don't remember which size, but I think it is 9X6X6.5" I don't have a tape measure and that is the closest size that the sites that sell them have.) Holds right at 2 gallons of water. It has a stingray filter on it(I've been using it for movement. It has a sponge intake with optional carbon to put in it(I took that out) and runs 38 GPH. I have a clip on light(the sort they sell for reptile cages) that I put a 10 watt 50/50 pc bulb into(5 watts per gallon, though I have to adjust where the light goes) and right now it has a few bits of LR rubble and a thin layer of sand. Oops, forgot to add before, it also has a bit of caulerpa in there. Can be done away with if need be.
So I figured I'd ask about it here first instead of getting an anemone and killing it. . . If I could keep one in there(only resident with the 2 sexy shrimp) should I do anything else(add sand/rock) for it? Or would what I've got now be okay? If not, what are some good substitutes for the anemone that the shrimp would take to?
