epoxy in my tank?

Not real sure about that one. You have to understand epoxy works on chemical reaction. I would think epoxies have different compounds for curing. There are specific epoxies that are used in reef aquariums, don't want to poison your tank. Most are a stick that you roll and kneed for awhile, then stick it on. You would want something very thick so as not to blow away in the tank.

thank you

Does anyone know of a brand and a store where I could buy a proven safe epoxy? Or should I just use aquarium silicon

two little fishies makes epoxy, as does Tunze and aquarium systems. Those are listed at Marine Depot.com.. I am sure there are many more out there. I can't remember the brand I have. Someone even makes a purple color to resemble corraline.

Home depot and lowes sells it to.. Its called Aqua Mend.. Its a two part epoxy putty that you cut a peice off the roll.. Then you meed the two colors till there one.. Stick it where you and your done... Homedepot and lowes only sells the Green and white.. Makes a White color when mixed.. But IMO it works the best.. Its the same stuff as online placed they just add coloring to it.. Theres seems more brittle..

Make sure to press the epoxy into and around a section of the rock that your attaching something to. Don't just stick it onto a relatively smooth section and expect it to stay. This is because it doesn't have that good of adhesion properties.

Maybe it's just me but the first time I used that epoxy in my tank my skimmer went NUTS! Within minutes it was foaming over. Other than that the epoxy works great. I usually put a dab of super glue gel on the bottom of the epoxy ball and then also on the top of it where the frag will be. Seems to help adhesion

can I use the epoxy I linked in the begriming of the post?

it says harmless and safe when cured. But does that mean reef safe?

these epoxy's for reef tanks make your skimmer go crazy, just a warning. it doesn't give a warning on the epoxy container (not that i saw) but it does effect your skimmer
