Equipment list for a 90gal

I hear that, better to ask a dumb question than no question at all LOL so it's the same brand just a different name, so I can still use the heater I planned to use originally then....

Sure ... especially if only used in your sump.

That way there will be a very little chance of something hitting the glass on the heater and potentially shattering it.

It is because of the glass that most people prefer to use titanium heaters.

Nice job with the equ list and I agree on the suggestions. Smaller return pump, 2 heaters. I have had good luck with the EBO Jagers as well.

I'd stay away from the Ultralife float switch. Very poor quality (mine caught fire). Customer service was rude as well. A MUCH better unit is the Reefantic dual float switch controller.

sjm817 OUCH!!! can't have anything catching fire. I will check on the Reefanatic I think is the one I was checking out originally but had changed my mind for some reason or another thanks for the heads up on the Ultralife

It was the relay box. (VERY) luckily, I was near the tank when it happened. The Reefanatic is better in many ways. Backup float switch, it has a hysteresis window so the pump isn't clicking on and off constantly.

I didn't even mention that the floatswitch part of the Ultralife unit is NOT submersible!

I use a mag 9.5 on my 90 AGA with no problems.
How do you have it plumbed?

Thanks, Katz which reflectors are you using in yours? I plan on eventually changing out the tek-light reflectors for the IceCap SLR's

Are you doing a hood or retro? I use a 6 x 54W retro setup on my 90G. I use standard Triad ballasts, and Ice Cap reflectors.
