Eric's Red Stag

Hello all,

I had bought an ATL's Erics Red Stag a few months ago and was wondering if anyone here has one too. If so, would you mind posting a pic, and giving me some info on placement and growth habits?

As you can see the frag is encrusting well and has put on a little length.

I am just curious to see if anyone else has this particular coral and what it might look like as a colony.

Looks alot like ORA Red Planet. If it keeps that color and grows like a typical stag, it's gonna be somethin'...

Yes, it does look a little like the red planet and the pics have actually wahed the colors out a little.

What kind of lighting do you have yours under?

In this tank it is under 4xT5.

I have it alao but mine is a frag and about the same size as yours. There is a picture of a small colony on atlantis' aquarium web site.

Yes, I have seen that, but I wanted to see if anyone else out here had a colony, that could give me some pointers.

There was a thread about this coral a while back and there were quite a few that had it.

i had erics strawberry lemonade stag..though it RTN'ed in the bag when i purchased it from Atlantis..is the same one..cause i like it..but never got to grow it out

I do not think that this is the same as the Strawberry stag that they had.

No the strawberry stag is not the same i have that one, but so far erics starwberry stag is the hardest one to color up for me. Nice frag by the way it does look like it will something nice when it grows.

How about some recent pics? I would love to see how it is growing out. It should have been about a year. Also would love to buy a frag.

I will take some pics soon and post them. This coral has been through some rough times, I have had it try to receed from the base up twice on me when no other coral has been affected. It is fully recovered now and growing pretty fast.

I think that I might need to move it around again and try to make it happy. Seems to have lost some color since changing my lamps in January.
