Hi guys... Just with the news I got a new tank!

It is a RSM 650S... 150 gallon in the DT and 25 gallon sump... The system and design is awesome and now my fish and coral will be happier

Let me share with you the delivery and installation with some pics...

I purchsed at All Fish Emporium... ley me tell you how happy I am with their service.. Brandon at the store gave me all the time I needed to explain me and clear any doubts ... Mat and Dwayne did the delivery and installation, great great service!

Now water is clearing, actually very fast and everything seems to be working properly.

My past 10 months on this hobby really made me love it very much and to see these amazing wonders in my place is a delight

I have a live cam on it if you want to check it out

enjoy!

this is an awesome build

Thanks!

Awesome, i can see u dont like to do anywork lol

Actually I do David but they had the tank already assembled and a 800 pounds tank is not easy to move by myself jeje I did the rockscaping with them :). RSM is great as you just assemble, plug and play.

The sump is incredible.. that is new to me as my RSM 250 does not have one so now I need to see what to do with it, a refugium, maybe some reactors.. lets see :)

looks good! be sure not to get any burrowing fish... since you put all your rock on top of the sand it could cause an avalanche

Thanks Tommy!

Yes we thought about that and the base rock we did move the sand and put it touching bottom... I have a diamond watchman goby and I don't want that to happen...

now I would like to gt ideas about the sump... I have a left chamber completely empty for usage... could be a refugium... maybe a quarentine tank.. It it possible to have rock and algae (no sand) and use it also for quarentine?

unless you can block off the flow on the left side 100% it wont work as a quarantine.. throw some chaeto and a light on it and call it a day

Yes Josh! and the rock I got and how it was added has lots lots of spoon areas for many many corals :D

Fish I will do a list but I have some considered that might be a little risk on the tank... Emperor is one of them ... just thinking the possibility, not yet a decision..

Thanks Tommy... what about rock and chaeto with light... will the rock help or it would not do much??

With the amount of Rock you have in the dt there is no need for more in the sump.. it will just trap detritus.. chaeto will provide plenty of hiding places for pods.

That's the one I wanted... T_T

It's beauty and congrats on a new tank !

Thanks Siptang! when you get yours let me know and I will give you some tips I learn playing here. You can come anytime to see it.. all you guys are invited, I am sure will be fun and a lot of learning!

Tommy, thanks! I will follow your advice on this :)

One question regarding rising salinity

Salinity on my tank is now 1.023.. I want it 1.025 ... I have a bucket that is for 160 gallons of saltwater Instant Ocean... how many cups of salt dissolved on ro/di water do you think I need to get there?

try topping off with saltwater and monitor the salinity closely with a refractometer until you reach your desired level of 1.025 SG
