I had one a while back and it never did stop spitting micro-bubbles completely, for myself i left the sponge on and angled the output tube on a 45 degree angle. basically half the foam was in the water and half out. This worked for me, hope it helps
HERE is a thread on Eshopps skimmers only. Use the tool "Search This Thread" and type in PSK 75, you will get many hits. Just a general search will also give you plenty of info. I am not sure if the PSK-75 needs the same water height as my PSK-100, which is 9 inches. I keep it in that depth using a home made ATO with an Eshopps float valve (one of the only ones all plastic, one piece float), and keep the water line at the blue ring that holds the adjusting tube. I use a overflow box foam on the output to ensure no bubble, even though it does not put out any in the sump.
Get rid of the sponge and zip-tie a media bag to the outflow. Then cut a small slit near the top in case the holes get plugged with algae the water can escape. Catches my microbubbles, and never causes back-pressure issues. Best,
I had one. Mine never stopped spitting bubbles and I used it for a year. I just put a Micron bag over the return and zip tied it to the plastic return. Replaced every other week or so
Yep that's what I do. I just use a toothbrush and scrub it in the sink and replace it. It works well and cant get clogged. I like my eshopps skimmer, but cleaning the pump and venturi is very annoying because of the external pump setup. Best,
