I have been reading and researching this forum for quite some time and value your guys' expertise/opinion. What would think the value of a 360 gallon acrylic tank, 75 gallon refugium, 100 gallon sump, 5500gph main pump, 3) 150watt mh, 4 power compacts (all in one fixture), 400 pounds of live rock, 2 controllable Koralia power heads and a decent stand, no canopy would be?

The tank has a slight bow in the front but no crazing, a few scrathes but nothing so deep it can't be buffed out. The tank is at least five years old. I have tried to find something to compare it to but this size of used tank is not very easy to come by.

Looking forward to getting into the hobby again. Your advice/opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Are you asking what it's worth or how much you could sell it for? Unfortunately the latter is probably much much lower than the former.

If you want to sell it, list it on Craigslist and keep dropping the price until you get a hit.

Well, without seeing it my best guess would be somewhere between 1500.00 and 2500.00 depending on the condition of the equipment. Im just throwing a number out there since nobody else would. It also depends on how desperate the seller is and your location.

Tanks that big are difficult to sell due to a lack of buyers looking for such a large system. I think you would be lucky to get $1500. You would get more by parting it out.

I am guessing the OP is looking to buy since he said "looking forward to getting back into the hobby"

You can probably get a good price because of the HUGE Pain in the a** it would be to move a tank that large with that much rock. Look at it this way, 400lb of rock is easily worth over $1,000 by itself, so any price in the $1k-$1.5k range will get you going at a large discount to what you would pay for all of that stuff normally.

Thank you for your replies. You assumption is correct I am looking to buy/trade for the above system. I just wanted some opinions so I know where I should be on the negotiations.

As someone who buys and sells everyday...I will tell you that when someone is 'an a s s' and makes a ridiculous offer, I say "thanks, but no thanks" and I'm DONE with them!
If you wish to be treated fairly & with respect, then do the same!
The live rock alone is almost worth that $....don't insult people...save that for the internet!
