i'd just tetracycline. i know it generally works well with swim bladder for my goldfish in the past. it's also a form of antibiotics like Nicole said. but for the most humane thing i'd use the oil or even a quick slam against a hard object. Oh, and for the snake comment, you should feed your snake frozen, not live, live food can injure a snake by bitting and scratching causeing bacteria infections. Another thing is they way they kill it is by dropping it in a tub of CO2 which kills them instantly or by useing a spoon and your thumb and snapping their necks.
