Getting the burgers on the way home. I would normally make them with the good stuff, but I checked the freezer and the lean ground beef from our 1/4 cow is mostly gone. Time to go in for another share on a cow.

Thanks Scott. If I come, I'm bringing banana cupcakes with a honey cinnamon icing (dessert) and rosemary corn on the cob (side dish). I only bought 12 pieces of corn though so if there's more people than that we're gonna have to cut them in half.

Minor emergency today. My tank has been looking bad the last few days, but I noticed today a dramatic drop. SPS bleaching, LPS pulled in quite a bit. Some zoanthids closed. Mushrooms letting go and floating. Put my hand in the water and it was hot -- 88 degrees F hot in fact. Apparently a runaway heater. Did one water change with 77F water and one with 72F water then floated a couple of saltwater "ice cubes" in there later. Down to just under 80F now over the last 12 hours and things are lookking a bit happier.

I hereby totally renounce glass heaters. Thought I had, but got lazy when I got the new titanium heater and didn't untangle the old glass Hydor and it got plugged back in (and went bad on me).

I just hope it is all recovered suffciently to put on the best display I can tomorrow. Not often I get somebody here who knows what he is looking at (just the Cooks Pest Control guy who wanted to buy my clam).
