Well, saw a scary critter poking out from under a rock... Lightning fast...
small but creepy looking, just like the creatures from Tremors...
did research at work today to identify it, thought it was just a bristle worm of sorts... no such luck.
Here is a photo (one out of maybe a hundred that it wasn't in...)

Did a lot of reading, he was only in a rock that was about 3" x 1.5"
got home and pulled the rock from the tank with my grabbers.
looked it over, couldn't see any worms, but did see lots of holes etc. Lightbulb came on!
poured some revive into a bowl about as deep as the rock was tall.
put the rock in the revive up to the bottom of the red mushroom's foot... it shot out and right into the revive!!
dipped the rock 5 or 6 times to make sure nothing was left in it... rinsed it really well and put it back in the tank. Mushroom slimed a bit, but is back to normal now!

SO, Dave 1, Bobbit Worm 0

Straight out of the bottle revive... I wanted that sucker dead!!!
probably would have been better to use a syringe and target it, but this got EVERYTHING out of the rock!

In the wild, these can reach 30 feet in length.

30 ft? :lmao: My, the stories have grown. First off, the longest recorded true bobbitt was about 15 feet. Second, while Dave's worm is in the genus Eunice it is not a bobbitt worm. Those don't live among corals or in the shallow reef rock collected for the trade.
