Euro-Reef RC180 w/ eheim pump FS

Just gauging interest. I may be purchasing a new skimmer next week and I'd like to sell my RC180.

They retail for $838 + shipping @ marine depot. I'll let mine go for $600.

I have all new uniseals for the body, and the pump was bought in November.

This is an AWESOME skimmer. Silent, powerful and built like a champ.

If someone wants it this week, I'm willing to let it go and go skimmerless for a week.

Please let me know.

Yes and no. I bought this skimmer 2 years ago with an sp4 (gen-x4100) as a product tester for Jeff/ER. After the test, the sp4 pumps became standard on these model skimmers... up until recently.

Now an ER RC skimmer from the 180 model up, come with an eheim pump. Prior to the release of the ehiems, I had heard that ER was looking into it. I then contacted, and with spoke Jeff at ER and asked if I could get a custom eheim built for my skimmer before they officially hit the streets. He agreed, and sent me the pump in November IIRC.

Interested? I like to cut deals for the locals.....

Nice! Is the Eheim modded in anyway? I'm guessing with a needlewheel, too.

Definitely would have been interested, but I just upgraded and sold my old skimmer recently

Yes the pump slightly modified.

It comes with an ER impeller and an ER venturi. Other than that, I think the ER eheims are stock.

I know deltec drills out their eheims on the inside for some reason, but I think H&S and ER use standard pumps, with custom impellers, and venturis. The H&S eheims are the 1260 with a custom H&S volute, while the ER's are 1262's, because they come with the larger volute from the factory.

I'm not sure if I made completely clear in my OP. (Doh!) The Eheim pump is a Euro-Reef factory pump. They retail for $250 + shipping/tax on the ER site. Mine was just sent out to me before the were released to the public

I have seen this beast in action with the old SP4 pump excellent skimmer in top notch shape.

Jim is also a great guy and will go out of his way to help a fellow reefer out!

Want the BK, but too much risk with the customer service and the pump failure rates..... Great looking skimmers though! Thats for sure. I want to try one of the new Bubble Masters, but they don't make an external.

Right now its between a Deltec, a H&S and a custom ER.

We'll see

Okay, back to the ER....
