Euro reef skimmer ??????

i am setting up a 55g sump for my 220g DT. and i have a euro reef Cs 6-2+, could not find any info on my question.

question is how much of the skimmer needs to be submerged in the sump? would15 inch baffles be fine or would that be over kill?

right side skimmer, center refuge, left side return.

need some advice and opinions.

I have the same skimmer with a gate valve mod and recirc mod the skimmer level can be fine tuned and it performs very well reguardless of the water level the skimmer is in.The gate valve controls how much water flows out of the skimmer.The recirculating mod makes the pump draw and return water from the skimmer body water is fed to the skimmer with return pump flow or overflow controlled by a valve.

I believe that the depth should be 7.5'' deep. That is what my ER sump is.

6" - That's where mine is and I believe that's the manufacturers recommendation?

7.5" from the bottom of the sump. I had to cut my bubble trap to 7.5".
