Euroreef CS80 skimmer

Marinedepot has Euroreef CS80 skimmers for $198 with pump. This is a pretty good deal isn't it? It will be for a 26g SPS. Or what other skimmer might be better?

I use that skimmer on a 29 gallon sps tank, it more then does the job. It is slighty louder than I had hoped, but the tank is right next to my sofa. If you have the budget, you could look at the smaller deltic skimmers.

Just some advice from someone with a similar size tank, reconsider your lighting, 250 H would be more than enough, I get away with a 175. Evaporation and heat will be major concerns with a 400, especially with only a 10 g sump.

The reason that I am going to use a 400 is because I already have that hardware from a previous teardown. I have seen quite a few reefs with incredible amounts of light and they are awsome. I have a chiller now too so heat won't be an issue. The chiller that I have is a 1/4 drop-in. If my temp. swing is not too fast from such a large chiller I will be ok. A smaller chiller has been put on hold for now so I can get the tank up and running. I will determine if it will work ok before I put any acros in it though. I will probably order the Euroreef CS80 on Monday from Marinedepot. The Deltec skimmer is a little out of reach. I still have lots of equipment to buy.
