euroreef knockoff

i was looking at the A.M.S. skimmers they are basic euroreef design only pvc insted of acrilic. anybody use these are they good?

You got it -- ER design with more economical materials. Gate valve a must. I don't own one (I have a ER), but most people who have them love them. Just make sure you plan to use it in sump and that you don't plan on adding ozone later -- if either of these is true you might want to go the extra bucks for the ER since I've read that the ASMs can leak just a little and that the PVC won't hold up well to ozone long term.
