Euroreef Pump

This may very well be a dumb question...sorry, Im fairly new. But I bought a CS5-2 about half a year ago, and it came with a Dolphin pump DP650. Everywhere else I read, they come with Sedra pumps. Are they the same thing, or did I get ripped?

Hi vanbeezy,

Thank you for your inquiry. Euro Reef is/was using either Sedra or Dolphin pumps for their skimmers, depending on what they had available at the time. Both pumps are very efficient and you should have no problems with the Dolphin pump. They use their needled wheel impeller in either pump to help chop up the bubbles.
