Hello all I am having some trouble with my new EV 180 skimmer .
My tank is a 125g pentagon, 40g sump, 12g fuge, one 400w mh 20k radium, two 250w 10k hqi and the tank is 2 years old .
I was using a G3 with the recirculation mods and it worked fine untill I got an older ev 120 from a friend and it was twice as good as the G3. A friend just bought a new EV 180 and a few days after he took his tank down and got out the hobby and I got the skimmer with a mag 7. I used the mag 7 to run the skimmer for a few days and it was hardly skimming so I put a mag 9.5 on it with a gate valve to cut it back. Now it foams real good but the foam is not making it to the cup. No matter what I do it will not work properly. If I let it faom all the way to the top it skims too wet and if I cut it back it won't skim at all. I have tried everything. Can anyone help me please ????????
