I have a small white fuzzy hitchhiker crab (looks like it might have sharp black pinchers) cornerned in a small hole in a piece of live rock. I have the rock in a bucket of salt water. Can I flush it out with fresh? Should I dip that portion into fresh water, or pour fresh over it? Help!!!

Alright, now that I got it out without any replies....with a pair of chopsticks and my wife's tweezers, i get to keep the tweezers:), what do I do with it? It is tan and completely fuzzy. It does have black tips on its pinchers. Can I put it in the fuge?

Sounds like a teddy bear crab. I found conflictiong views on it, but most say its reef safe until it gets big. That being said, you should know that others said definitely not, and some said it is for sure reef safe. I didn't take the chance, and got rid of it. Here's mine:

He also has black claws. They use them to hold anemones in the same way as pom pom boxer crabs.
