Even seen an eagle hop?

i cant believe you found a bald eagle with a clean head! all the ones i see have dirty brown heads

A couple more as I slowly process the 1500 pictures from the weekend... For those who didnt know, Mt Redoubt started erupting a month ago and so there is ash everywhere, that's why the snow looks that nasty gray color.

I like this one just because they all stood real close together like they are conspiring. I realize the focus isnt 100% sharp on all the eagles but eh, I'm still learning

And I like this one just because of the angle of the shot, most eagle pictures are taken from below or straight on, not above.

They're like Pigeons...especially if there is food around. An era came to an end with the passing of the "Eagle Lady". It'll be intersting to see how strict the state gets now. It's been said that close to 90% of the bald eagle images published were taken in Homer Alaska.

Definitely the coolest pigeons on the planet! I love your last shot with the one eagle hovering. That they are all looking stage right makes me think something was going on over there?

geeze - you should see the images from Haines AK. Up to 3000 bald eagle congregate there in the late fall.
