Ever had this happen to you?

I waited 2 years (more like 1 1/2 felt like 2) to purchase a bright RED YUMA. The day came when I got the call to pick it up. It was un-mounted but I didn't care. I brought it home and put it in a cup with a net over it. After a week or so it mounted and I moved it to the bottom of the tank. I checked it before going to bed and the next morning it was gone!!! I looked all over for it removing the rock work but still I never saw it again. I can't believe it. So I called and put myself back on the list. I'll never buy a unmounted one again. I'm such an idiot.
:mad2:

I hate unmounted softy. Is it a wild yuma or tank raise? Wild yuma seem to be very picky. I can't keep them long. I got a nice yellow/orange one not long ago. It was ok for couple weeks then just disappear one day :( ..

It was a tank raised. The brightest red I ever seen in a yuma.

I feel for you man, I've lost $$$$ in frags either given or bought... due to them falling between or behind rock work due to monster snails bulldozing through them.

my pistol shrimp steals frags of my sandbed and then i can never get them back unless i want to change my whole aquascape =(

I have a mean ol' gold banded maroon clownfish who absolutely despises newly mounted coral frags within 2 ft of 'her' anemone. She literally snaps the SPS off at the base, or rips pugs from the rock and will spit them out into the bubble, anemone, or other poisonous coral.

I have lost some of my more rare species this way. :(

Thanks for your tragic story .. I totally forgot about a tiny blue ricordia frag I recently got, looked back on the tank.. and sure enough it was gone! Luckily I did glue it to a bigger piece of rock, so I stired around the sand a bit to find it, and viola! Found it.. it was kind of stretched out though looking like it was fighting up towards the light.. the rock was upside down.. but hopefully it'll survive... although I'm sure it doesn't compare to your Red Yuma in either price (mine was free :)), nor brilliance.
