Mine will do that every once in awhile. Sometimes at night it goes balloon, sometimes it shrivels up, sometimes it just looks normal. I'm not really sure why it does that. I've had mine for about 2 years and its always done that.

IMO, it's an attempt to move. More surface area means it will be easier for the current to set it adrift. I wouldn't worry about though. It looks good. It should bounce back to normal in no time. GL.

I wasn't scared. 20 mins later it was mostly back to normal. It does it all the time, usually after moon lights come on. Thought I'd share.

Maybe it had some sand that settled on it that it wanted to get off? I'm not entirely sure either
