Ever seen an acan like this?

Hello, I recently received this nice acan colony as a gift and would like to hopefully learn a bit about it. Acans are one of a few areas I don't have much experience with and I have no idea if this is a common morph or not. As far as I can tell, there is NO pigmentation other than the gray/black and white. The color isn't just a really really dark blue or anything like that. I don't like asking about coral pricing at all because Its all in the eye of the beholder but what would your average reefer expect to pay for a colony of acans this size? The whole thing is probably 6in across with at my count something like 90 polyps. The polyps are much smaller than what I'm used to seeing in acans also. Its been in my sps dominated system for a few months and in that time has lightened up surely cuz of the bright lights. ANY information you might know about it or my questions would be gratefully appreciated. sorry the pics arent the best. They are pretty close to how the acan looks to the eye though. Have a good one.

Acans are easy! I have two frags on the sand in my sps dominated tank, almost directly under the light. Mine get a generous amount of flow and are fed mysis every day. They're gluttons and you can find some very neat color morphs out there.

I'm not sure on the price but a colony that size is uncommon to come by.

There Is one at my Los the exact same size and they are asking 149.99 for it Same color and everything

Thanks very much for the replies guys!! I appreciate the info. I have never fed these guys anything!!! I'm sure it will help darken the color. Good to know general pricing and that there are others just like it out there.

Its going to depend on your location, around atlanta, that coral would fetch a hefty price. not the color, but the size alone. Most people will sell 3-5 polyp frags for around 25-50 bucks depending on color, and this would contain a LOT of those frags.

I love all my sps, but my acans are my favorite, i have 3 but none are one solid color, this colony looks amazing.
