Evergrow d120 over 40b

Interesting discussion, but some of it is over my head as I'm still pretty new. I have ordered the D120 from Evergrow, on e-bay. I have my reef in a 29g tank, which is 30" wide and 18" deep, but more like 16" to sand bed. How high should I hang my light to have reasonable coverage over the whole thing? I don't have any corals needing really high lighting - they are all moderate, or moderate-high at the most.

Although he went with radions, another member at one point had 3 d120's over a 300DD, another remember has 3 over a 150 which is 72x18x29. Both growing SPS. One of these lights without optics 4-6" above the water line will put out plenty of PAR for SPS in a 40B.
