Everyone safe and accounted for from the storms that just rolled through the Memphis area?

Stay safe and alert tonight - We're praying for safety for all.

Larry & Mandi.

We are in Bartlett on Summer Ave. between Elmore and Kirby Whitten and all has been well here. There were some heavy wind gusts and rain about an hour ago but that was it.

I called Sanford and Amy down in Oxford, but couldn't get through on their cell. I left a message for them. I hope they are okay.
The fun is not over yet...there is more to come in Arkansas.

On the way home from the store tonight, I was passing the Winchester/Riverdale intersection...I saw a huge funnel cloud to the west. When I got home, the news is showing where the Hickory Ridge Mall has a lot of damage. That was the funnel cloud I saw. That's almost to close for comfort for me.

good in this part of Cville
Mother in-law in gtown, one mile from poplar and gtown rd good also.
Looks like might be long night. Gosh I was going to vote this evening and weather changed that.

I am in Milan and we haven't been hit yet. Some of my crew in Jackson have a different story. Union University got hit and the roof collapsed. People are trapped inside. I hope they get them out safe.

Everything is safe in Southaven. The better half was close to the one that touched down off of Stateline road. But eveyone is doing fine.

We are safe. Some friend's of friend's home got hit by a tornado north of town. We are south of town and it has been calm here so far.

Richard, Sanford knew your store was fairly close to Hickory Ridge mall so we are relieved to hear that you are okay. You may have an old number for us because Sanford didn't get a message from you. 662-202-2940 is the current one.

Everyone is in our thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to morning and this scary night to be over.

Amy

You probably won't hear from Jackson yet. Everyone I work with that lives in Jackson is without power. Several guys said that vehicles by their house were moved around and one guy now has some else's grill in his back yard.

We just had high winds for a few minutes here in the Humboldt area but I know a tornado hit the university area for sure, my friend had one touch down near her house near the walgreens in jackson by northside school. ripped the big tree up in her front yard and threw it

I heard the University Kroger got hit, also. I am surprised the Nextel network is still up which is my only communication with other city workers.

Here's the scoop in Jackson. The tornado went through Union University...on through Kroger and Walgreens at Highland Ave and University Ave. It then went up toward Walnut Trace subdivision and up to Oakfield. Anything in that line is trashed...anything 1/4 mile from it (like my house) is okay. I'm in Nashville right now and got the report from all my friends....all of them are okay too. Some of the dorms at Union are leveled and they are using heavy machinery to get trapped people out so I heard. They say that the tornado was 10x worse than the one in 2002.

In Bartlett here. Second storm line passing over us now. I am in my office upstairs and heard loud thumping noises on the roof. Looked out and I see our shingles blowing off all over the yard... yikes. Guess its time to head into a safe room downstairs......
