maybe a bit extreme, I'd move it closer to the center, but yet off center...her are mine I jsut took these with my phone:

Off-center depending on rock? So if there is less rock on the other side, more back side room behind the rocks, it should be closer to center than 2/3 frontside?

What's is the rational behind the antisync?

It's best that the MP40 is not going directly into rocks (unless it's way down the tank), so if it is, move it a bit for clearance to keep flow going.

As for antisync, this is how the two pumps work with each other, back and forth...if they are synced, then they both ramp up and down at the same time, you are not able to get waves or a gyre if you have 3 pumps.
