I would just like to express how happy I was with the service I received from LiveAquaria and the customer service person I talked with, Sandy.
Okay I order five different corals from LiveAquaria and had them shipped to the SAME Fedex Kinko's location that I have sent three other orders to before without issue. So I look up the tracking information within Fedex system and there are two different shipments for the same tracking number. This got me thinking something was up and I called their customer service number and tallked with one of CS folks, they assured me everything was fine and that the package would be waiting on me at the Kinko's location by no later than 3pm.
Three O'Clock comes and I head on over to the Kinko's location. I talk with Jeremy there and he says that they never received the package. I then call Fedex back and they say, It is at that location. I then go back to Kinko's with them Fedex on the line, they have also called the location. Jeremy assures them that this package is not at their location. He was not so helpful.
Okay so now, nobody knows where the heck my package is at. This was a shipment of SPS so if they sit overnight, the outlook is not so good. So I head to the main distribution point for FedEx and have someone there help me, Karen. Karen is freaking awesome she is calling the main hub at the airport, the original courier, looking through packages there. I was at the hub for 2 hours and then she finally said leave me your number and I will give you a call once we find it. I leave, 10 minutes later she calls me back and reports that the package was at the Kinkos all along, they refused the shipment!!! At this time is when I wanted to go back and strangle Jeremy at Kinkos!
So the story goes like this, evidently, Fedex Kinkos locations suck! Jeremy said they cannot receive living organisms at these locations even though I have had three other locations shipped there without incident. The best part is that they though living coral was a coral snake, the box said LiveAquaria on it and they thought it was freaking snake, idiots. I might go back and talk to their manager today, I have waited because I didn't want to go to jail, I think I calmed down enough now to talk to the manager.
Here is where Sandy at Live Aquaria comes in, all during this 4.5 hour process I am keeping them informed of the situation and giveing them periodic updates. She even called FedEx twice to figure out what is going on. After this she talked with her manager and they refunded my shipping charges.
Moral of the Story:
LiveAquaria is great and they excellent service
Fedex - Never ship anything to one of their Kinko's locations! A true Fedex locaiton is fine but not a Kinko's.
