The last few months have been pretty wet in the Sacramento area and I'm noticing excessive moisture in my home, especially in the back of the house where there is less sunlight and in the great room with my 48 gallon reef tank. I do have to top off my tank with about a gallon a day of rodi. The evaporate has to be going somewhere. My windows and even some walls are constantly dripping and I've even encountered some mildew in the back bedrooms. Thank goodness it is not inside the dual pane window but it is truly annoying, especially because I'm trying to sell my home. Has anyone else encountered this and what can I do to resolve it? I could pick up a dehumidifier, but they are expensive. I poor man's dehumidifier is basically a bucket with a strainer of calcium chloride sitting on top, but I cannot find big quantities of calcium chloride locally. Any suggestions besides breaking down the tank?

Sorry to break it to you but if your selling your home its either the tank goes or get a humidifier. Try looking on CL for a smaller one with its on catch system. Good luck
How much for the dehumidifier?
