"Exotic Coral" 3600g Personal Aquarium

I really don't know for sure the # of lbs, but a lot. May be 5K lbs?

Also I got two PMs about costs and anemones genus in the tank.
It is hard to calculate the costs because it needs new equipment continuously. Also, if you are good at building things, it would be lot cheaper. My expenses would not be helpful in any way, if you are building a large display tank.

The majority of the anemones you see are Ritteris/Radianthus magnifica, and the genus Stichodatyla. Some one asked me if there were any BTAs/E.quadrocolor in the display and the answere is no. I gave up all but a few colonies of neon pink/orange RBTAS in my sump.
The anemones pictured above are all R.magnifica, not BTAs.

So you don't feel the 6301 is good on an 8 foot tank, or did I misunderstand?

I have a total of 15 6200's and 7 6301's, and I like them both. I was comparing the performance/costs of 6200 to 6302; and I think 6200 is better for my money. This is more true in smaller tank like in a 6 foot tank. 6301 gives a lot of flow but for the costs, I though it should give me ~ 2x's of 6200's out put.
They both are very good products and the customer services is amount one of the bests!

Thank you for your assessment. I am working on building external wave boxes for the 6301s.

Please share your product when you are done. I love to see it.

I certainly will! Roger has told me that the standard wave box footprint (about 4.5" x 4.5") but taller would be good, but I am going for nearly twice that size.

I love wave box I have in one of my refugiums. My anemones in that tank always seem happier than the other small tank that has no wave box. It would be great if you could make one that can use a larger pump, and gives bigger waves.

you can use multiple wave boxes to create huge waves if you like.

How have you been, hope all is well with the mini ocean.

Thanks. I will have 4 - 6 x 6301 wave boxes...

Things are going fine for my reef and I am in the planning stages for a new tank. I am looking at alternative materials and flow generation. based on Roger's calculations I am looking at having the capability to generate about 80,000 gph but will "de-tune" the wave boxes so that I do not make waves but have very efficient flow.

It will be months before I can even start construction as I have a lot of research to complete and need some engineer help etc. I don't really care about waves to be honest, but I want to build a tank that can produce them anyway. Currently I am researching carbon fiber/kevlar blends and how to autoclave such a large object.

Hi, how are you? Is that picture of you and your love one? Very cute:)

I am fighting some very bad crabs in my tank, I got skin infection on my hands and on my legs from being in the tank too long. And, got bitten by my ritteris.... Other than that, I am doing very well:)

I asked Roger about use more than one for the main tank but he thinks it would be hard to make it work due to space/water volume.

no, not me that is another member and his wife who is battling cancer : (.

i am well thank you, skin infection from the anemones , that is not surprising they must really be taking hold of the tank.

I got my new tank setup click the red house there are some good pics around page 17

Wow! Nice job! I can not read all 2000000 pages right now, but would love to see what you did.

Ah, I am sorry about your friend, I'll keep them in my prayers.

WOW! I don't know how I missed your thread. I LOVE how you have a beautiful mix of all types of corals and not strictly SPS. It really does look like a natural reef. My hat is off to you. That is THE most beautiful captive reef I've ever seen.
