This yellow tang so far has only eaten the Thalassia heprichii from the Gulf but the Cymdocea sp, H. Uniervis, and H. pinifolia from the Pacific have not been touched.

Well that opens new opportunities. I thought they'd eat everything green.

Get your grass going before adding fish, use co2 injection if you needed to augment the growth rate. Add coral and fish after your grass is established, may take up to 2 months to get a thick bed. Yellow tangs and the likes are perfect for grass tanks cause they keep the grass leaves clean with out decimating the grass bed.

Hi Shu Tin,

I finally got to read through your entire tank build thread....all I can say is amazing! I'm sorry I never got to see your tank when it was running, but just seeing the tank itself was something to behold. You are hands down the most dedicated and giving hobbyist I have ever met in the hobby. Thank you for entrusting me with a few of your beautiful anemones. I promise to give them the utmost care and hope to propagate them so all your hard work continue to live on.

Take care and best wishes on your next endeavor!

Jim

Wish I had come to see your tank when it was still up and running. Did you ever find a home for your mertens?
