Are these bristle warms? They looked different than the normall ones and they came out in large groups at night.

Yes. They're bristleworms and they do come out in the dark. They're pretty sensitive to lights. Some can grow pretty fat too. I cringe every time I see a fat bristleworm ... uurrrgg. :uhoh2:

Yes, they are nauseating and they are every where at night. I can't put my hands in the tank to move grass, anemones or corals any more. Without a predator, they are growing. I offered my sons money to eradicate theses warmies, but no takers. I will have to up the price?

The limitation of a large sea anemone tank with seagrass as breeding ground (for all kinds animal), the most efficient nutrient utilizers will dominate. Seagrass bed is a wonderful way of filtering out organic matters, see the picture differences of the same tank below. The same camera and settings, one with macro mostly(before) and now with seagrass as the dominant plants. Do you notice of the clarity of the pic with grass bed vs the macro dominant? It kept ph, PO4, NO3.... in perfect range even without a skimmer, hence the accelerated growth of the grass bed.

Shu Tin,
Wow ... you've given me a bright idea of a seagrass bed system. If this works out you'll be the very first person I'm going to inform!!!

Thanks in advance,

Not much changes excepts that every thing is getting too big. I will up date with some pics when I get home in 10 days.
Thanks for reminding me.

Thank you guys for remembering this old post:) And, I am sorry for not updating this thread sonner :sad2:

My life is kinda upside down right now and the reef hobby has taken a back seat because of my husband's illness. I didn't have time or energy for the tanks for the past year or so. And now, I am at a cross road, feeling a little lost and am thinking of shutting down my tanks. But before I do that, I will try to take some new pictures in a week or two and post them here when I am home for the holidays.

Thanks again, I enjoyed reading every one's kind words and support:)

Cheers!

Here are a few pics that were taken this month, not much changed except the acro are getting bigger, and some were moved to my son's tank.
