experience keeping maroons with other clowns

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has successfully kept a maroon (or pair) with another species of clownfish. I would also like to know of the people who have tried but didn't work out. I am wondering this because I breed percs and maroons and I keep them in the same 20g grow out tank once they are about 2 months old. They do fine together and the percs actually cause the maroons to be less aggressive. However these are all juvenile clowns and there are over 30 of each of them so it is much different then keeping the adults.
Just wondering, let me know.

I tried Maroon x Occy pair. It cost the Occy his life. I wont try again.

they were fine as juvys but one day she just offed him about 14 months after I put them together as juvys

Thanks for the reply.
Just so people are clear I am not really talking about pairing maroons with other clowns, though I would like to hear outcomes of this also, but more talking about keeping maroon clowns in a tank with another clown, or a pair of maroons in a tank with a pair of different clowns.

I wouldn't try mixing maroons with other clowns unless the tank was enormous. IME, a female maroon can be a real terror.

Ya male Maroons have serious submission skills and they do a few things submission wise that other clowns dont do. Like I have seen the male suck on the females gill spines.

To be more specific JT , your hand is not safe in tank with an adult female maroon clown, and its worse if she has a nest.

The only clowns I think could live with maroons IF the tank was huge would be Clarkii , since they are mean jerks anyway.

hey can you pair an orange clown and a black clown?

It could work if they were the same species, but hard to tell if that is the case in your question.

Ya I have bitten many times by the female, and it does not feel good. She actually made me bleed a couple times.
Thanks for the responses everyone.
