experience with Keyscritters.com?

i did a group buy for them for some 2500 critters .. almost every single one arrived alive.. great place...
 
Well my experience with them wasn't so great.................

Ordered 100 astrea & 100 cerith snails for the package deal of $99 shipped overnight. On thier website, it states all orders must be placed by Friday 2 PM EST for Monday packing & shipping & Tuesday delivery. I placed my order Thursday night, got NO email confirmation, waited for my tracking number on Monday & nothing. Wrote them an email asking if my order had shipped. Got a reply email saying they were out of stock & a cold front had hit & they hadn't been able to send the dive boats out to get product. They said they were hoping the weather would clear & IF the dive boats got snails on Thursday, they would package them & send out overnight for Friday delivery. Fair enough I thought. You can't control Mother Nature & if there was no product, then there was no product.

I receive an email Thursday night w/ a tracking number saying my shipment would be arriving Friday before 10:30 AM. Around noon I call home & ask the wife if Fed Ex has come. No, she replies. I check the Fed Ex website & it says package is at terminal, but undeliverable due to wrong address. I call Fed Ex & they say that the package has streeet numbers only & no streeet name listed on the airbill. I take time off work to go to Fed Ex to pickup the snails & sure enough, no street name on the airbill. Keys Critters had told me via email that this must have been Fed Ex's fault because thier copy of the airbill showed a complete address. When I look at the airbill attached to the package, it's the type you print on your own computer!! So Fed Ex isn't to blame, it's the attention to detail at Key's Critters that is to blame.

On the bright side, all of the snails arrived alive. However thier customer service department leaves a lot to be desired. I wrote them an email back saying I'm not looking for anything extra or for free, but maybe you should pay more attention to detail. I got a return email saying "Sorry we put you out, but mistakes happen....." After a response like that, it'll be the last time I do business with them.

i have to say the exact opposite with them.. they were great with the large order.. keys critters and the fedex person who picked up the package should have noticed that there was no delivery address as well, they both dropped the ball... but at least everything arrived alive right..
